Interactive design

Motion on your website that adds something, not noise

Interactive design is motion on your site: text that slides in as you scroll, a button that responds when you hover over it, a small 3D detail in your header. It shows visitors that care went into it.

Too much motion makes a site slow and tiring. So we build it light, and so that everything still works without it. Want visitors to explore a whole product or space in 3D themselves? Then a 3D website is the better choice.

Who is this for?

  • Your site is right, but feels static and flat.
  • You want to stand out from competitors with almost the same site.
  • You want to tell a story that unfolds as someone scrolls.
  • You want motion, but not a site that stutters on a phone.

What we build

  • Scroll effects

Text and images that arrive at the right moment, tied to scrolling.

  • Micro-interactions

Buttons, menus and forms that show they noticed your click.

  • Moving transitions

Calm transitions between sections, so visitors see what changes.

  • Small 3D details

A rotating element or depth in your header, as an accent. Not the whole site in 3D.

  • Motion in your brand style

Movement that suits your brand: calm, or deliberately bold.

  • Clean without motion

Has someone turned motion off on their device, or can't the device handle it? Then a clean still version appears.

What it gets you

  • A site that sticks

Well-chosen motion makes your site more memorable than one more photo.

  • Attention where it counts

Motion guides the eye to your key message or button.

  • No cost in speed

Built light, so your site stays quick, also on a phone.

What it costs

You get a quote within one working day with a fixed price and a fixed date. It states which parts move and how. We only start after you agree.

Motion goes on top of a site that already works, not in place of good content. Where it serves no purpose, we advise against it. Looking for full 3D, where visitors rotate a product or space themselves? See 3D websites.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Request

Tell us which site it is and what you have in mind. You get a quote within one working day.

  2. Step 2

    Choose

Together we pick the few places where motion really adds something.

  3. Step 3

    Build

We build the motion in lightly and test it on phone and desktop.

  4. Step 4

    Live

After your approval it goes online. The still version is checked too.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a 3D website?
On a 3D website, 3D is the main event: visitors rotate your product or space themselves. Interactive design adds smaller movements to a regular site.
Can this go on my existing website?
Often, yes. It depends on how your site is built. Send the address with your request and we'll take a look.
Will it slow my site down?
Not if it's built well. We load the motion only once the rest of the page is in place, and keep it light.
Isn't motion annoying for some visitors?
For some, yes. That's why we respect the 'reduce motion' setting on their device: then everything stays still, and everything still works.
