3D websites

3D website design: your product or space from every angle

On an ordinary website, a product or space is shown through a few photos and some text. On a 3D website, visitors look for themselves, from every angle. Rotating, zooming or moving through a space, right in the browser. It pays off most when your product or space is hard to capture in a few photos.

You can see it right on this page. The moving field below is not a video, but live 3D in your browser. No plugin and no separate app needed.

A common concern: 3D websites are slow and stutter on phones. That concern is fair, because that is how they are often built. That is why we build them light. On an earlier project, we reduced the heaviest video from 19.7 to 6.7 MB, with no visible difference. That is how you build 3D that stays fast. On a device without 3D support, a clean static version simply appears.

Where this works

  • Showrooms and interiors

A bathroom, kitchen or office that visitors can look around themselves.

  • Machines and technology

Turn your machine around from every angle, instead of showing three photos and a pdf.

  • Products

Grab it with the mouse, turn it, zoom in. Like in a shop, but online.

  • Practices and clinics

Let people see the space before they visit. It makes it easier to come in.

This is live 3D

Not a video. This point field is computed in your browser the moment you tap the button — on a phone we load nothing you did not ask for. This is exactly the kind of work we build for clients.

And this is scroll animation

This is the scroll film from dimensa.dev. Note: this is not live 3D, but a film that plays at the pace you scroll. Exactly the technique behind a 3D website with scroll animation. Open it and scroll it yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Will 3D make my website slow?
Not if it is built well. We keep the 3D light and load it only once the rest of the page is in place. On a device without 3D support, a clean still version appears.
What is the difference between live 3D and scroll animation?
Live 3D is calculated in the browser: visitors can rotate and move themselves. With scroll animation, a film plays at the pace you scroll. This page shows an example of both.
Can Google read the text on a 3D website?
Yes, as long as the text is in the page itself. We build the 3D alongside the text, not instead of it. That keeps everything readable for Google and for screen readers.
What does a 3D website cost?
That depends on what needs to be in 3D. After your request you get an answer within one working day, and the proposal states a fixed price and a fixed date.
